Irish generator buying guide
Two very different jobs: raw power for the yard, or clean power for sensitive electronics. Here's which one Irish customers pick and why.
Best for farms, yards & sites
Petrol Frame Generator
Steel frame · strong output · tools, pumps & lighting
The workhorse. Built to be thrown in a jeep and run tools, water pumps and site lighting. Louder than an inverter, but far tougher and better value per watt.

Inverter Generator
Quiet running · clean stable power · fuel efficient
Choose this for storm outages, caravans and camping. The clean sine wave is safe for TVs, laptops and boilers, and it's quiet enough not to annoy the neighbours.

Anyone in rural Ireland knows what a storm can do to the ESB supply. Whether it's keeping the freezer going during an outage, running tools on a site with no power, or getting a pump going in the yard, a generator you can rely on isn't a luxury — it's a necessity. That's why every generator we sell is unboxed, filled, started and load-tested at our County Cavan base before it goes out the door.
We stock both main types: rugged petrol frame generators for sites, farms and heavy tools, and quieter inverter generators that produce clean, stable power safe for laptops, TVs and other sensitive electronics. All prices are in euro with VAT included — no sterling conversion, no customs, no surprises.
Because we're local, you're never dealing with a faceless website. If you need a plug, a filter or a pull cord down the line, we keep common spares in stock, and every generator carries a warranty we honour ourselves. Collect from us in Cavan or ask about delivery anywhere in Ireland — and if cash flow is tight, the Christmas Club lets you pay it off weekly with a €100 deposit and no interest.
Questions we get asked
What size generator do I need?
Add up the wattage of what you want to run at once, then add about 20% headroom. A small inverter unit covers tools, chargers and a fridge; a larger frame generator suits sites, farms and home backup. Tell us what you need to power and we'll size it for you.
What's the difference between a frame and an inverter generator?
Frame generators are rugged and great value for tools and site work. Inverter generators run quieter and produce cleaner power that's safe for laptops, TVs and other sensitive electronics.
Are the generators tested before sale?
Yes — every generator is unboxed, filled, started and load-tested by us before it leaves, so it works the day you get it home.
Do you deliver generators in Ireland?
We're based in County Cavan and you can collect from us, or we can arrange delivery across Ireland. Contact us with your Eircode and we'll confirm options for your area.
Is there a warranty and parts support?
Every generator carries a warranty and we keep common spares — plugs, filters and pull cords — in stock, with after-sales support from our Cavan base.
Can I pay a generator off weekly?
Yes. Our Christmas Club takes a €100 deposit and lets you pay the rest weekly, fortnightly or monthly with no interest and no fees.
Not sure which one to pick?
Tell us the rider's age and experience and we'll point you at the right machine — or spread the cost with a Christmas Club plan.
